First things first, this place makes you feel like you're in Japan, sitting in the streets where you'd find cool looking restaurants and dive bar. The inside setting definitely makes you feel like you're in Japan! Food choices - a lot to choose from, however we wanted a bit of everything so decided onto the bento boxes. The food was delicious! The beef was well sliced and flavored, I believe it was galbi, the miso was also good, it definitely tasted authentic. Their seaweed appetizer was fresh and pickled. The sushi that came with the bento was basic however fresh without the fishy taste to it. The other bento box was the exact same but chicken cutlet, a little in the crispy side, thick batter so not much chicken. What in really enjoyed was the beef ribs. Sweet and full of flavor. I suggest this for sure if you like crispy and sweet ribs. Aside from that, I'd come back and try the actual sushi rolls since their fish tastes really fresh! The server were attentive, they came with water pretty frequently since I drink a lot of water. Not a lot of places do this anymore, sad, dying art as I see it.

Kopan Ramen in Alhambra is a delightful spot for ramen enthusiasts. Located conveniently in the heart of Alhambra, it offers a cozy atmosphere with modern decor that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that you feel welcome from the moment you step in. The menu features a variety of ramen bowls, but the Tonkotsu Ramen is a standout. The broth is rich and creamy, simmered for hours to achieve a deep, savory flavor. The noodles are perfectly cooked, maintaining a good bite, and the toppings, including tender chashu (pork belly), soft-boiled eggs, and fresh green onions, complement the dish beautifully. In addition to ramen, Kopan Ramen also offers delicious appetizers like gyoza (dumplings) and takoyaki (octopus balls), which are great for sharing. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and dinners. Overall, Kopan Ramen in Alhambra delivers a satisfying and authentic ramen experience. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or new to the dish, you're likely to leave happy and full. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a comforting bowl of ramen!

As soon as I walked in I felt a relaxed ambiance. Kopan sushi is located in the corner of the side walk when you open the door you definitely don't expect to see beautiful art on the walls and the decor was so nicely put together. The staff was really friendly and attentive we were seated in a booth that had wooden partitions with the booths behind us it was really pretty. I ordered their popular ramen with chicken and a side of mushroom, spinach and fried garlic/onion. Overall the ramen was really good but I wished it had just a little bit more of salt and flavor added to it . I ordered a little chili on the side to add into the broth. The chicken was tasty and the fried garlic and onion ooof I can eat that by itself! They have a happy hour menu it's so cute and creative! I still want to come back and try their hot pot!

We came here for dinner and I got the tonkotsu ramen and the sesame chicken. We also each had one hot sake. Ramen was solid and the sesame chicken was ok. Servers were nice enough and the place looked interesting. We ate this place once many years ago and I feel like it looks very different now. Would come back.
